Activity: Mahikan District Spring Camporee
Description: This year's spring camporee was held
at Schodack Island State Park. During the
campout, our troop participated in the Tug-o-War
and Volleyball tournatments. We also had 3 scouts
"called out" into the OA. Many scouts
also enjoyed the fishing oppritunities along the
Hudson River. The scouts are looking foward to
next years spring camporee.

Activity: Six Flags Camporee
Description: We went on our annual trip to Six
Flags Great Adventure. This year was one of the
best in a couple of years due to the weather.
Scouts went on many rides, including the water
ones which were open for the first time in many
years. Though we couldn't have a campfire at
night, we still kept warm and had a lot of fun.

Activity: Rip Van Winkle Scout Show
Description: This was our first time visiting the
show, and we really loved it! Scouts had fun
going around going to different booths and seeing
exhibits. Each scout was given a card at the
begining to be filled out while going to the
booths, getting a certain amount of points at
each. When the scout got 25 points, he could get
a free patch. Mayn scouts loved it and want to do
it again.
Meetings
Our
troop meets Tuesdays through the months of
September to the end of April at School 16.
At our meetings we learn scout skills (such as
knots, first aid, etc.) and usually end with a
fun game.
Campouts
Our
troop goes on many campouts a year. Some weekend
campouts we go on annually include the Six Flags
Great Adventure Invitational Camporee, Twin
Rivers Council Fall Camporee and Twin Rivers
Council Mahikan District Spring Camporee.
As
well as weekend campouts, once a year we go to
Rotary Scout Reservation Summer Camp. This week
long camping expirence is a place where scouts
can earn merit badges. For more information on
