Leadership Position Descriptions
A Senior
Partol Leader (SPL) is the troops
main leader. Him and the Assistant
Senior Patrol Leader (ASPL) are
responsible for running meetings and giving
instruction to other scouts.
Patrol
Leaders aprovide guidance and
direction for their patrols. It is their
responsibility to assign tasks for their patrols
on campouts. The Assistant Patrol
Leaders have the task of helping the
Patrol Leader carry out his direction to the
patrol. They also help supervise and participate
in activities and jobs assaigned by the Patrol
Leaders.
An
Order of the Arrow Represenitive (OA
Rep) represents the troop at OA
meetings (for more information on the Order of
the Arrow, go to www.oa-bsa.org) and reports this
information back to the troop.
A Scribe
keeps notes and records of meetings and events.
The Librarian keeps track
of the troop's books and records.
The
Den Chief goes to dens in
Cub Scout packs and prepares them for Boy
Scouts. A Den Cheif becomes a Troop
Guide when those Cub Scouts cross
over into Boy Scouts and helps them as well
as any other new scouts work their way to First
Class.
The
Bugler sounds off bugle
calls that signal things, such as waking up,
meals, church, etc. A Quartermaster
is the troop's supplier, and gets necessary
materials for the troop and takes care of our
trailer.
